Henan footwear exports first break 100 million US dollars

From January to October this year, the Inspection and Quarantine Bureau of Henan Province accepted 2,946 batches of export footwear inspections, with a total value of $106.975 million, an increase of 46.6% and 56.9% year-on-year respectively. This is the first time that export footwear in Henan Province has exceeded the $100 million mark. It is understood that Henan footwear has been exported to nearly 70 countries and regions around the world.

According to reports, the main reason for the rapid growth in the export of footwear in Henan Province is that domestic shoe manufacturers have accelerated the pace of transfer to Henan Province. Henan Province has abundant labor resources and low human resource costs. These outstanding advantages have attracted the majority of shoe manufacturers to shift from the coastal areas to Henan. Among them, Taiwan-funded enterprises mainly include the world’s largest brand footwear manufacturer Taiwan Baocheng International Group. The group settled in Fugou, Henan in March of last year and plans to achieve a target of 1 million pairs of monthly production and an annual turnover of 120 million US dollars within 3 years.
