Pakistan's cotton prices held steady and textile companies were more aggressive in purchasing

Pakistan's cotton prices held steady on Friday, as domestic cotton prices are cheaper than international cotton prices (including low-grade Indian new flowers), and textile mills are more active in purchasing. The ginning factories and cotton farmers still expect the government to control the formation of cotton prices and are currently reluctant to sell them.

Punjab high-grade new flower ginning factory pick-up price of about 4900-5150 rupees / maund, discount 66.75-70.15 cents / lb; low-grade new flower prices as low as 3400 rupees / maund.

The Karachi Cotton Association (KCA) has officially quoted Rs 5,000/maund for the third year new flower (length: 1-1/16”, micronaire value: 3.8-4.9 NCL).
