Rongcheng will host the first "Children's Wear Retail Development Forum"
On September 28th, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou, China, a significant event took place: the "Top Ten Children's Clothing Brands in China," Fruit Children's Wear, co-hosted the "First Fujian Children's Wear Retail Development Forum." This forum was organized in collaboration with the Southeast Express and Fujian Children's Channel, along with several other media outlets. The event aimed to bring together key figures from the children's clothing industry, including renowned entrepreneurs, seasoned industry managers, successful store operators, and consumer representatives. Together, they explored future industry trends and shared effective retail models for children's clothing, with the goal of fostering healthier growth within Fujian's children's wear retail sector.
Reports indicate that the current retail landscape for children's clothing in Fujian prioritizes price over brand loyalty among consumers. This trend stems from a lack of leading brands in the market, where both branded and unbranded children's wear often get mixed up, leading to aggressive price competition. Consequently, this practice has squeezed profit margins for retailers, causing the children's clothing market to be perceived as a "small market" with limited potential for expansion.
Interestingly, Fruit Children's Wear, as the event organizer, operates as a modern, large-scale children's clothing business. Each year, the company develops over 2,000 new designs, exporting their products to countries like Japan, South Korea, Russia, and the UK, among others. Fruit Children's Wear has received numerous accolades, including being named one of China’s Top Ten Children's Clothing Brands, winning the "2006 China Apparel Brand Style Award," and being recognized as one of Guangdong's Top 100 Garment Enterprises. They have also earned the prestigious title of "China's Famous Brand Children's Clothing."
Since opening its first store in Fujian in 2006, Fruit Children's Wear has established itself across multiple locations in Fujian Province, including Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Nanping, Longyan, and Putian. This expansion has helped them establish a recognizable brand presence throughout the region. In August 2009, after fierce competition with numerous domestic children's wear brands, Fruit Children's Wear was selected as the "Official Children's Wear Brand of Fujian Children's Channel." Through this channel, they launched extensive advertising campaigns to boost brand awareness and reposition themselves in the Fujian market.
In conjunction with the forum, Fruit Children's Wear inaugurated its flagship store in Fuzhou on September 28th, located on the 5th floor of Dongsheng Qun Sheng. A grand opening ceremony was held to celebrate this milestone. Additionally, the forum coincided with the announcement of the company's 2010 summer order results. Starting from the summer of 2010, Fruit Children's Wear plans to reduce prices by 15%-25%, positioning themselves as "high-end children's wear at affordable prices." This move aims to make quality children's clothing accessible to a broader consumer base, reflecting the brand's commitment to its vision of "colorful future wear."
