Rongcheng will host the first "Children's Wear Retail Development Forum"
On September 28th, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Fuzhou, China, a significant event took place: the "Fujian Children's Wear Retail Development Forum," co-organized by "Southeast Express" and "Fujian Children's Channel," along with several other media outlets. This forum aimed to bring together key figures from the children's clothing industry, including renowned business owners, seasoned industry veterans, successful store operators, and consumer representatives. Together, they explored the future of the industry and shared effective retail strategies for children's clothing, all with the goal of fostering the healthy growth of Fujian’s children's wear retail sector.
Reports indicate that currently, in Fujian's children's clothing retail market, consumer choices are heavily influenced by price rather than brand loyalty. This trend persists due to the lack of a dominant market brand in the children's clothing segment. As a result, both branded and non-branded children's wear often find themselves competing in a price-driven marketplace. This has led to thin profit margins for retailers and has kept the children's clothing industry relatively small in scale.
One notable participant is Fruit Fruit Children's Wear, a modern and large-scale children's clothing enterprise based in Fujian. The company develops over 2,000 new models annually and exports its products to countries such as Japan, South Korea, Russia, and the UK. Fruit Fruit has received numerous accolades, including being named one of "China's Top Ten Children's Clothing Brands," the "2006 China Apparel Brand Style Award," and "China's Famous Brand Children's Clothing." Since opening its first store in Fujian in 2006, the company has expanded rapidly, establishing over 10 stores across cities like Fuzhou, Xiamen, Quanzhou, Nanping, Longyan, and Putian. This expansion marks the beginning of a strategic rollout of their unique store image.
In August 2009, Fruit Fruit successfully secured the title of "Official Children's Clothing Brand" for Fujian Children's Channel, allowing them to run extensive advertising campaigns on the channel. These efforts have significantly enhanced the brand's visibility and strengthened its presence in Fujian’s children's wear market.
Coinciding with the forum, Fruit Fruit will open its flagship store in Fuzhou on September 28th, located on the 5th floor of Dongsheng Qun Sheng Mall. To celebrate this milestone, the store will host a grand opening ceremony. Additionally, the results of their 2010 summer order collection will be unveiled during the forum. Starting from summer 2010, Fruit Fruit plans to reduce product prices by 15% to 25%, positioning itself as "high-end children's clothing at affordable prices." This move aims to make quality children's clothing accessible to more families, reflecting the brand's commitment to providing "colorful and future-oriented wear" for children.
