Shao Jing, an associate researcher at the Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology, said that many jade materials of different sizes have been found in the Xinjie site of Lantian County, such as jade strips and jade blocks. The obvious jade tools include stone drills and stone drill caps. Stone drill bits and stone cores, as well as some jade and jade rings as decorations. The excavation of these jade products and jade tools provided physical evidence for the development of the late Yangshao Lantian jade, and also added important specimens for the study of jade crafts in the prehistoric period.

It is understood that the main cultural connotation of the Xinjie site is the late Yangshao culture and the early Longshan culture. A total of 3 sites in the above two phases, 9 kiln sites, 400 acupoints (ash pits), 33 gray ditch and 33 rafts were discovered. There is a bone pit, and a large number of production tools, daily pottery, and decorations and artworks are unearthed.

Shao Jing said that Lantian has been beautiful since ancient times. According to the study, the famous "He Shi" in the Warring States period was Lantian Yu. Chinese people have begun to appear more mature jade art more than 5,000 years ago, but the jade articles of the Yangshao culture period discovered by archaeological finds have been very rare. This time, jade-related cultural relics such as rough, finished products, waste products and scraps were systematically unearthed. It was the first time in the history of early jade.
