Since its implementation on January 1, 2005, GB18401 has played an important role in effectively protecting the health of China's textile consumers, regulating the textile product market, and improving the overall level of China's textile industry. Compared with the 2003 version of the standard, the 2010 version of the new standard has two major changes:

First, the scope of application of the standard In addition to retaining the original taking and decorative textile products, the addition of home textile products; does not belong to the scope of this standard, the scope of textile products increased from 10 to 13 categories, the addition of a one-time use of health supplies , luggage, backpacks, shoes, umbrellas and carpets; the definition of infants and young children changed from within 24 months to 36 months and below.

Second, the banned azo dyes in physical and chemical indicators added "4-aminoazobenzene" to 24 species; the pH value of direct contact with textile textiles was changed from 4.0 to 7.5 to 4.0 to 8.5; the saliva-resistant color was specified Fastness is only applicable to textile products for infants and young children, and decorative products such as curtains are not evaluated for color fastness to perspiration, and traditional hand-colored products such as natural and bleached products and tie dyes and batiks are not evaluated for color fastness, and the color fastness is increased. , formaldehyde, pH, sampling requirements for the decomposition of carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes.
