Huang Shan, 69, was obsessed with painting all his life. During the 11 years of painting artistry design at Xinyi Arts and Crafts Factory, the students taught had already gone to Taoli Manyuan. By chance, he visited the lacquer painting exhibition in Jiangxi Province. He was exposed to the original lacquer painting for the first time. He was shocked by the variegated paintings, osmotic flow, mysterious and elegant colors and special textures. From then on, he was shocked. He began to combine lacquerware crafts and artistic creations and concentrated himself on the exploration and practice of modern lacquer painting art.

In order to fully understand the significance of modern lacquer painting and his creative techniques, he made several special trips to the Beijing Institute of Lacquer Painting to learn, to seek advice, and to indulge in the beauty of the lacquer that has changed as much as the mystery.

We are tireless. For many years, Huangshan has been unremittingly taking close to life and paying close attention to reality as its subject matter. The lacquer painting works such as “Cloudy Clouds and Clear Wind”, “Xiaosheng”, “Pear Blossom Honey” and “Yaoshui Ancient Cross Autumn Wind House” were created using eggshell as the main material. The third session of the Sports Art Exhibition Award, the Eighth National Art Exhibition Excellence Award, the Ninth National Art Exhibition Bronze Award and the Tenth National Art Exhibition Silver Award and other national awards. He was hired by the China Artists Association as a member of the “National Artists Association Painting and Painting Arts Committee” and “The First National Painting Exhibition”.

Teaching lacquer art does not hesitate. With the increasing exquisite painting skills, his reputation is getting higher and higher, and countless students come here. Others advised him to organize a training course and receive tuition fees. However, he accepted the students and did not pay for tuition. Even when life is most difficult, he would rather borrow money and never receive a penny from his students. He said: "The lacquer painting art requires us to pass on and carry forward from generation to generation. I would like to use my life to practice!"
